Ketamine At Home
1) Concierge Ketamine Therapy
For the wealthier ketamine clients, concierge ketamine therapy brings a mobile Ketamine clinic directly to your home. You get the same supervised IV infusions like you'd get at a clinic.
2) Ketamine Troches
These are small tablets/lozenges that are placed under the tongue. Unlike IVs that have to be administered in person, these can be self administered and prescribed by a telehealth provider. Unlike IV ketamine therapy, these work slower and aren't as powerful(about 20%-30% effect of IVs). Usually onset happens in 15-30 minutes and peak effect happens at 45-90 minute mark. Total duration of the effect is about 1-2 hours. Downsides are minimal, besides just being less powerful than IVs, there is also a bitter taste and the dosing is less predictable.
3) Ketamine Nasal Spray
This is a spray you inhale with your nose to get a hit of Ketamine. These work faster than oral ketamine, but its still not as effective as IV(30-50%). The most effective version is Spravato, but that requires using it in a supervised environment at a clinic...so for most doing the IVs is the better alternative. That said, the less effective versions are still more effective than the troches. Keep in mind, the nasal spray has a risk of giving you nasal irritation.
